Firefox 3.5 gets restore closed window feature

I've honestly been pretty disappointed with the way firefox development has been headed.

When the browser started out, it was lightning fast, and though it came with fewer options, there were more than plenty extensions to add options just like the one mentioned above.

Now, everything feature under the sun seems to be making its way back into firefox. I've switched to chrome lately simply because it opens faster, runs faster and doesn't have nearly as big of an issue with gobbling up memory after being open for awhile.

Soon, will they reintegrate Thunderbird and Firefox? Maybe a few years afterwards they'll split them and start over again. :)

This is actually a welcome addition for me, 'cause I've lost more than a couple of windows at work by closing the browser window expecting the app to quit, only to be foiled by the add-on window or the download manager, losing all of my tabs in the process (tangentially, one thing I definitely like about the Mac version of Firefox is the ability to quit the app and restore multiple windows worth of tabs without having to use the task manager... it's not enough to get me to use it on the Mac, but it's still nice).

This does me no good. I occasionally close my window on accident (hitting CMD+Q instead of CMD+W isn't that difficult of a mistake to make...) but I rarely have more than one window open and from what I understand from your post, you need multiple windows open for this to work. So it's useless for me.

Why would anyone open more than one window of Firefox (or at this point any browser for that matter)? That's what tabs are for.
