Zoho Chat need not (and does not) compete with Meebo. It is the integration with Zoho mail and other Zoho services which makes it useful and unique. It is kind of like the convergence of the phone, music player, camera etc. into a phone.
As a standalone Zoho Chat may miss some features of Meebo, but integrated with the rest of Zoho - it becomes immensely useful
