Ubuntu 8.10 64 bit
in a terminal window type
sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
put these two lines at the bottom
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/chromium-daily/ppa/ubuntu intrepid main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/chromium-daily/ppa/ubuntu intrepid main
then in the terminal window
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install chromium-browser
chromium-browser
And it works, denuded of tabs and many other features, but wonderful to have this blazingly fast, beautifully designed minimalist browser again after I shed Windows several months ago.
