Google's GDrive inches closer to becoming a reality

A watchful blogger has discovered a change in one of the files included in the Google Pack which offers a description of the service.

In the aforementioned javascript file ( which you can read here ), the Google crew offers two key insights about the enigmatic GDrive:

  • GDrive will provide reliable online backup and storage of your files, including photos, music, and documents.
  • Files will be accessible anywhere by using your desktop, a web browser, or a cell phone.
It's not much, but it's more than we've heard so far. The example files listed make me wonder if GDrive will support storing compressed archives - including the ones I often need to mail from my GMail account but can't, like batch scripts for customers.
