Sorry, wasn't trying to "troll." Just open some eyes. Promise I won't post again for at least a year. (After this one of course.)
Apple makes good products, but I cannot understand why so many people think they are the ONLY ones worth buying.

For me, it's because I've used Windows for enough of my life that I know I don't want to use it as my primary OS again, and Apple is the only computer vendor in the world (aside from a few niche Linux box vendors and such) that offers PCs without Windows on them. It's part desire for a better quality of software for myself, and part effort to support the free market that Microsoft quite nearly killed. However, if OSx86 reached the level of reliability that legit OS X enjoys on Macs, I'd have no qualms about buying a cheaper box and using OSx86 on that. I'm discounting Linux as an option for myself because, frankly, they don't even remotely have their s**t together, and I have more than hobbyist stuff to do with computers.
Personally, I'd be the first to rat out Apple for not doing enough to attract game developers to their platform. There are plenty of things OS X has missed, but for my purposes, it gets enough things right where Windows gets them wrong that it's worth skimping on games. Maybe I'm not representative enough of "typical Mac users" in that I think Apple is far from perfect; who knows. For me, they're the lesser evil.
