Gmail gets the Google Docs PDF viewer

Now Google has begun allowing users to open PDF files using the Google Docs PDF viewer. That means you can view PDFs sent to your email inbox without downloading them and without losing the formating, graphics, or other elements that make PDFs do darn fun to look at.

Wow, that's pretty awesome. I had written to them to suggest a one-click way to move a PDF attachment to your Docs, but this is even better -- it avoids duplication. Nice.

Except for certain documents that have some security turned on. Like AmEx itineraries, which I used to be able to just view, but now have to download and view. Yeah, I know that it used to be Google just ignored security, but now it's too tight. If I can open it in Adobe/Foxit, why can't Google?

I will agree that it's a cool feature, but I really hope you think you're joking if you think PDFs are fun in any way.

I don't like Google Viewer at all. Takes up to much space. How can I go back to the way it was?
