Firefox 3.1 still not ready, another beta coming soon?

The new beta wouldn't include any new features, but it will give the developers a chance to squash any major bugs before Firefox 3.1 is officially released early next year.

And it would give extension developers more time to update their stuff!

It would be pretty convenient if the private browsing feature would work like stealther, which is one-click.

Beta 3 will sort of have a new feature. The ctrl+tab / all tabs is being removed for beta 2 while is goes under some reworking (make more sense, not be a performance disaster etc...), it'll be landing again shortly after beta 2 is released.

They better do a complete overhaul of that new "All Tabs" functionality because that thumbnail approach was atrocious...and it didn't help that they completely disabled the ability to revert to the original (and much more straightforward) behaviour.
I truly don't understand why some of these design decisions (All Tabs, the New Tab button) lack any sense of User-Centered Design practices...I'm glad the community is vocal enough to force some of these stupid decisions to be rethought or rolled back.

Salsa Shark:
Well they're still using thumbnails and I don't see how you can say that's worse than an uninteractive pop down overflow menu. But the interface is getting improved and the order of the tabs is now going to be the order of the tab bar rather than the most recently used order.

Let's hope they fix the bookmarks section. It was busted in Beta 2.
Some of us like organising our Bookmarks.
