Our brand-new hotness
As Steve Jobs would say, "boom." Download Squad readers with keen eyes have taken notice; we've gotten our first full redesign in our history. It's green, it's hot and we luvs it. You can quickly jump to points of interest from the top of the page, we got rid of some nagging limitations of our original design and, just for kicks, we threw the extra $10 for the new logo. Maybe AOL read Adam's "So you wanna be a web developer?" post, ya think?
In all seriousness, big thanks to Erik and Victor who managed to make this all happen. We really hope you love our new design just as much as we do, so tell us what you think!

As a download squad junky.... I love the layout... but why the green sides? my brain hurts.... my eyes keep trying to go from side to side to deal with the GREEN... I can't concertrate on the text.... I keep walking into walls now, and then rebound to the next wall zig-zagging my way down corridors after reading this... the green... the greeennnn... THE GREEEEEENNNNNN!

Congrats on the great job. Really brings the site up to date and gives it a sleek look. I also like the green, it kind of has this sparkle on my LCD flat screen at work!!

Sidebar and overall accessiness works. Undecided about the green - I guess the question is "Why green"? "How does it fit with things"? Well really I don't think it does. But it doesn't upset me. What does upset me is that the green and the main part of the page are undifferentiated - really need a subtle shadow or frame to hold the page up off the green.
Logo'd be ok if it didn't look like RSS
Main headings pretty dreary if you ask me too - something bit sharper and more contemporary.
But then you'll never please everyone - and good refresh anyway

nice site redesign. I would like to have images for all of the posts like before though. It kinda helps me decide to read the contents :P.

1970's green, like my mother's old kitchen appliances. He kitchen floor too. Then there was the green carpet in the living room, not quite as bright though.
It could be brighter. When do you switch to 1970's Harvest Gold? :-)

Have to admit; I'm really impressed!
I'm also impressed with your readers for being so adaptable! Many smaller sites have made smaller changes and caught hell from their reader base. Well done on all fronts! :D

How do you make all 10 items on a page be expanded like the first five?
It's highly annoying if you are checking more than a days news.
