Mozilla-based Sunbird and Lightning calendar apps hit 0.9
Mozilla has released version 0.9 of Sunbird, its calendar application. The Lightning calender extension for the Thunderbird email client has also been updated. There's a huge list of changes under the hood, but here are some of the most noticeable:
Sunbird and Lightning are available for Windows, Mac, and Linux.

- Calendar views have been overhauled
- A progress indicator shows up when you're reloading a remote calendar
- Multi-day events now have visual indicators showing that they're connected
- You can now show the today pane in the tasks mode

I love Thunderbird and Lightning. The absolute ONLY reason I don't use them is their non-existent ability to integrate with my desktop environment (gnome/KDE). If they ever get around to getting Thunderbird/Lightning to add the events/emails/etc where they are picked up by my other native KDE/gnome apps I will switch immediately. Here's hoping.

Note that installing the Lightning extension in Thunderbird appears to overwrite any calendars you have imported from the likes of GoogleCal...

Does Sunbird have MobileMe sync feature now..?
