Alestorm easily earns my vote as "best pirating music." Their self-proclaimed Scottish Pirate Metal will put a swagger in your step only a peg leg can rival.
Now, where to find these tasty tunes? The following sites will let you download or stream a boatload of music.
Tagoo is my personal favorite. Since my initial review, I've been totally hooked. I like being able to create a playlist at home, sign in at work, and stream all my tunes to the workbench. Well, all the ones that are still available anyways.
Skreemr is another good site, and is similar to Tagoo. Search for a track, rate it, buy it from Amazon. Skreemr even provides an "audiorank" for files, which gives you some idea about the quality before you download or stream it.
Seeqpod has a much fancier interface, but it's a little bit slower than the first two. Still, it works well, and it's got some nice additional features.
And don't forget about Last.FM - it's a good option as well. Just tell it to start playing artists like Alestorm and you'll be ready to batten down the hatches and hoist the mizzenmast!
