MobileMe is just a Live Mesh copycat. According to Apple, MobileMe is poised to be a way to sync content from your iPhone to your computer. Live Mesh is a device synchronization platform that works with far more devices than what MobileMe can do.
Based on what's said, MobileMe does : Storage, Mail, Calendar, Contacts, Gallery, and iDisk.
Guess what? Windows Live does ALL that. Yahoo! and Google do most except real file storage and sharing. All 3 of these guys also do it for FREE. And there's mobile version as well with "Push" features.
I'm kinda surprised how the article doesn't even seem to hint that MobileMe might not even be all that.
