I read this the other day somewhere (don't remember where). I had stopped using Plaxo a while back simply because it stopped working with some of my services. It completely stopped working with Yahoo. Hotmail syncing was always missing something (I think it was the calendar). only GMail, Outlook (work), and Thunderbird (personal/home) worked reliably. Well, I can get that without Plaxo, so I just stopped using it.
Hearing that Comcast has bought Plaxo, however, prodded me into action! I deleted ~all~ my data, changed personal info I couldn't delete, and turned off all updating, sharing, account linking, etc. Now that it's been a few days for all that to sink in, I'll be deleting the account.
I don't like Charter (what I have at home), but at least it isn't Comcast!
