I've been using FUW for a few years to rip DVDs into AVI files that I can watch on whatever-handheld-PDA-I'm-using-at-the-time. Works great with TCPMP on both WinMob & PalmOS platforms. Full movies at about 200MB per file.

Easy to use and lots of good options.
