I run a computer and Internet services support business up here in western montana, and I have been using AVG for years now, and have loved it. My current version is the 7.5(free), and have been installing it for clients for about 3-5 years now.
I recently have had two clients whose home networks and systems were wrecked, just by deciding to upgrade to AVG v8. Seems they have really gone commercial now.
I guess its time for my antivirus/antispyware users to switch to Threatfire!

I upgraded to avg 8.0 3 days ago, and my whole system has been on go-slow ever since. It may be a nasty coincidence, but the fans on my tower keep switching on regularly too, something that only happened once in a blue moon before. I've tried all sorts to get the performance back, but nothing works. Never heard of Threatfire, guess I'll have to start doing a bit of research, thanks for the tip.
