Google Reader adds timestamp
Google Reader, the preferred news reader of many Download Squaders and our readers, has added a little nugget of a feature that will allow you to finally see how long it took Google Reader to show you a post from your favorite blog or news source. You see, one criticism of Google Reader has been the lag between when an item is posted in an RSS feed and how long Google Reader shows it to it's users. Now with the timestamp, you can see for yourself exactly when the RSS item was posted.In more minor news, it appears Google has changed the favicon of Google Reader. The new version is a tad more colorful than the last.

Hmm. I see how many minutes ago it was but I don't see the received/sent info in your screengrab.
I also see they added a really annoying confirmation pop-up dialog whenever you mark a feed as read, if it has more than 50 (I think) unread items. This just adds an extra step to rapidly catching up on a lot of feeds; I didn't want this feature and I didn't want my workflow changed. Every time it happens I grimace. Where is the option to turn that feature off?

Hi, you have to hover your mouse over the timestamp to see the other 2 dates.
AFAIW, I don't think there is a way to turn off that mark-all-read dialog (or at least not yet...)
You might know already, but in case you don't, they also added new keyboard shortcuts in this latest release. You can also use "?" to see the cheat sheet.
a to add subscriptions
g+d to open the feed directory
e to email the current item.
