Monitor multiple Twitter accounts with Twhirl
The only drawback is that Snitter doesn't let you login to more than one account at a time. So if you maintain separate accounts for work and personal tweets, you can only use one at a time. Fortunately, there's Twhirl.
Twhirl has pretty much all the same features as Snitter, and like Snitter, it's built on Adobe AIR which means you can use the Twitter client on a Mac or PC. Plus it lets you login to multiple accounts. For example, we were able to monitor and update the Download Squad Twitter account at the same time as a personal account.
Twhirl also offers some nice customization options. For example, you can change the font of tweets, schedule how often the program will check for new messages, and determine how notifications will be displayerd.

Hey that's my tweet on Twhirl, I'm a big Twhirl fan, I use it on both my macbook and dell laptop. If you're following over 500 friends on twitter it works great vs other twitter apps that hangs when trying to pull down tweets. You can also follow and communicate with the Twhirl developer on twitter his id is twitter.com/twhirl and mine is twitter.com/waynesutton

Here's the 'yeah, but' comment...
Yeah, but when I installed Abobe Air that it needed to run on it, I got the blue screen of death. After 3 tries I uninstalled it all. Any ideas?
In the meantime I'm using 'twitter4skype' bot that works fine, but not much extra function to it.

Adobe AIR?
Can you guys at DS do some comparison between Adobe AIR and Silverlight and show which one is better? I think they're basically the same thing. But I want to see the highpoints of each.
So it would be great if DS could give a post with a full comparison of Silverlight vs Adobe AIR.

You've got your technologies confused Michael -- AIR would be more akin to JavaFX or XUL/XULRunner. Silverlight is really more comparable to Flash.

So can you guys do a comparison Silverlight vs Flash? Or among other type of 'formats' there are? Considering these are thing we download.
I'm curious, and it would be a great help to have a nice big comparison chart.

I'm just downloading both Twhirl and Adobe Air to use on my PC. I used twitterbar and twittyTune Firefox extensions currently but since I need to manage multiple accounts, I thought I might give twhile a try.
