Google Reader adds support for Google Presentations
Earlier this month we talked about the updated Google Presentations features, including the new embedded slideshows. Now those slideshows are viewable within the Google Reader. This just adds to the growing list of embedded content support within Google reader, which also displays flash movies and Picasa web albums.
Picasa for Mac coming later this year
Google's digital photo management software is being developed for the Mac and will be available sometime later this year. Once Picasa is launched, Google Talk will be the only native "Google" product without a Mac version (though iChat and Adium natively support GTalk). In the interrum, Mac users can use the Picasa Web Albums Uploader to upload photos from folders or within iPhoto to the Picasa Web Albums service now.
Google Notebook adds hAtom support
If you use Internet Explorer, the latest version of the Google Toolbar supports hAtom elements when clipping content with Google Notebook. Why is this important? Well, with the old version of Google Notebook, if you clipped text from a site that appeared on the front page (i.e. something that was not its own permalink) and you wanted to look at the full page/article later, you would be directed back to the main page, which may have been updated or changed since your initial visit. Using Google Notebook in conjunction with the toolbar, you can actually retain exactly what you were looking at for future use. This only works with sites that support the hAtom microformat.

- Google unveils new iPhone interface for Google Apps - Google Reader, Calendar, iGoogle, Search, Picasa and Gmail have all been updated and optimized for the iPhone.
- Gmail adds new shorctut: "e" - A true "archive" shortcut key at last! Although many users were content to use the "y" shortcut key to archive mail, the actual function of that shortcut is to "remove from current view." This shortcut will archive a message without removing a label or star.
