Firefox Tip - Rearrange tabs by dragging and dropping
Have you ever had 15 tabs open and wished you had opened them in a different order? People that visit certain sites with regularity and despise it when the tabs aren't in their usual order, will enjoy the sheer simplicity of this Firefox tip. Unbeknownst to most, Firefox actually allows you to drag and drop tabs wherever you want to.Just click on the tab that is out of place or otherwise out of line, and drag it to the area on the tab bar you want it to be at. A little purple arrow will help you find the right spot. Drop it and rearrange other tabs as necessary. Before you know it, your tabs will all be where they should without even requiring an extension or plug-in to accomplish the task.

yeah do people seriously not know this? you can alsoset your home page by dragging and dropping the URL to the HOME icon. can you make a post about that too?

why didn't you link to the beta 2 release notes instead of beta 1? beta 2 is much more stable than beta 1, and there's more features finished.

Man, How much money is Firefox giving you?
As I've mentioned in other posts, you guys are suffering so much from Firefox blindness.
You can do this in ANY tab browser. Well "any" I'm not sure about that, but I've got 4 on my computer and all of them do it:
Opera (By the way folks, if you truly want something better, try Opera)
Internet Explorer 7
Safari for Windows
and, as you've already mentioned, as if it was the only thing that existed, Firefox.
I'll assume that a Konquerer user will verify the ability to move tabs there as well...

Safari 2 for Mac OS X did not have this feature. It was introduced in Safari 3.

I've known this since Firefox 1.x when I had to download a plug-in for this functionality. The plug-in was redundant when Firefox 2 came out.

Also try selecting some text in a web page, like a site name, and drag that onto the "New Tab" image (left of the tabs). Voilla -- a new tab at that site!
One interesting thing IE7 does -- it opens new tabs immediately to the right of the current tab, vs. at the far right. There is an option to turn that behavior on/off. Does Firefox 3.0 do that?

Duh. That has been in Opera since forever... Same thing about the tabbed browsing, they overhyped it when it is in Firefox
