The Squadcast 07 - Switching to Linux
This week's Squadcast features an interview with one of our own. Kristin Shoemaker joins Grant and Christina to talk about what it takes to switch to Linux and leave Windows behind, for good.
Also, we take a look at our five favorite Linux applications for people who've recently switched. Direct replacements for a few of those must-have apps on Windows.

Cool episode. I remain Li-curious, but am not ready to come out of the Windows just yet. Sometime in the upcoming year I'll be getting a new laptop and I think that would be a perfect opportunity to try out Linux on my old machine.
Cheers,
Jeff

I switched to Linux (more specifically, Uubuntu) about 5-6 months ago. At first, I thought Linux was hard and complicated. Honestly, that's how it looked like. But after getting help from forums and, of course, Google, I almost literally "fell in love" with Linux. Since then I've installed over 10 different distributions on my virtualbox, and now enjoy the benefits of an OS that I once thought was not for me.
Thank you, guys, for giving me alternatives to programs I used in Windows. Sorry to Windows-lovers, but I'm never going back to Windows again!

What about OS X?
Don't want to sound snarky, but does Windows always = bad?
Can't OS X users be switchers to OS X as well?
