Get Pownce-ing on your mobile phone!
It seems Kevin Rose and friends have been busy developing m.pownce.com in a very quiet way. We tried m.pownce.com on our mobile and it is very slick. You can post messages, events, and links, but not pictures at this time.
To use the pownce mobile client, simply fire up your mobile phone browser and go to http://m.pownce.com .
A killer feature, in our opinion, would be to allow mobile users to upload pictures taken on a mobile phone for all our pownce friends to see.

Nice post Jason! Your feature request sounds like what Tweetr does on AIR. I agree that mobile pownce would do well with that. Maybe Qwik live streaming integration too!!

Thanks Marshall. Yeah I think Qwik live streaming would be amazing if merged with Pownce mobile.
I'm really looking forward to what mobile apps are coming next for our beloved "web 2.0" sites.

Cool post. I am a huge fan of Pounce and I agree with the author. The additional functionality of Qwik would be a match made in heaven. Maybe an overstatement, but it would be cool. The 'powers that be' have been advised.

Looks cool, but were you able to actually post anything from the mobile client?
JasonDec 18th 2007 5:00PM
hey Brian, I was able to get a message posted just fine from the mobile client.
are you not able to get it to work?
Brian JunyorDec 18th 2007 5:34PM
I got it to work once from my desktop browser. The second time I tried it from the destop, it timed out.
However, my AT&T Tilt, reports back "The page you are looking for cannot be found due to unknown error 0x80072f78"
P.S. Sorry for voting down your comment, thought it was reply.

All right, I think I figured out where the issue is. I was trying to send a message to a group and that is what returned the error.
When I sent a message through to everyone, it worked. So I assume they are still working the bugs out?

It took'em long enough. Now maybe I'll actually use it more.
