Brainscannr - very quick Time Waster
This one has to go in the "just plain odd" category. Brainscannr is based on a Japanese web site, called nounai me-ka-, or Brain Insides Maker, which uses kanji to represent the various brain states a person might have. The creator of Brainscannr needed to come up with something that would be easily understood by the English-speaking world, so he chose the ubiquitous smiley face. It's hard to understand the point behind Brainscannr. Basically it takes a person's name, and uses some sort of algorithm to determine that person's "brain state". This consists of a bunch of different smiley (and frowny, and more emoticon-type faces than you can imagine) filling up a graphic of a brain.
Since it's all just based on the name, non-name words work just as well as real names. For example, the image you see here is how the brain of "Download Squad" is represented.
Weird.

Other ones to try: brainscannr (rather empty), Bill Clinton (half full of pig faces).
