At least in the medical field, the vast majority of handheld medical freeware is palm based. WM5 has a very very poor selection of freeware - most medical software must be paid for to the tune of between $20 - 60 per app. True, Epocrates can be done in WM5, but that cannot be compared to the hundreds of apps on the Palm OS.
