Paint.net. Alls I'm saying.

kevjohn, you are saying WRONG.
Paint.net is an image/photo editor.
irfanview is not.
before you claim that something is better than something else, make sure you actually use both things.

"The latest update.... comes packed with new editing features..." "Want to crop, resize, pixelize, blur, or brighten a photo? Check."
mxxcon, this article seems to be primarily hyping IrfanV's abilities as an image editor, including: drawing on images, cropping, and color adjustments/corrections. If you're going to be talking about totally free, incredibly useful software, comparing it to other totally free, incredibly useful software should be expected.
before you criticize people's comments, make sure you read the articles the comments are about.

Now now, you're both pretty.
Paint.net is a great freeware image editor, but sometimes all you need is a lightweight image viewer with some basic editing features like IrfanView. In fact, almost every screenshot and image I post on Download Squad is editing using IrfanView. That's not to say that Paint.net doesn't have more features for the same price. I just don't need those bells and whistles most of the time.

In other words, the Corvette is nice but you'll just stick with your trusty Camaro. Gotcha. :)

I have installed IrfanView countless times. It's so fast, I've made it the default JPG handler! I'm happy Mr. Irfan* is still making improvements.
* I don't know the real name of the developer

kevjohn, you are a very silly man. Isn't a Corvette supposed to be faster than a Camaro?
