My favorite note taking system involves sending txt messages to my e-mail account. Using T-Mobile if you send a text to 500 with an e-mail address in the body of the txt it will e-mail that text to you. In order to save a few characters I set up an e-mail alias called 'Note' and sent up a contact in my phone called 'Notes' so I can quickly send a message to using 'note' instead of my full e-mail.
It's great to have everything in gmail where I can search and tag messages. No more worrying about filing.
