Ecto is nice but unlike a previous commenter I do approve of you not using the beta of Ecto 3 because it is a long way from being ready for prime time. On the Mac side of things I prefer MarsEdit to the latest stable non-beta build of Ecto. I don't own either but I have been keeping a watch on the Ecto 3 beta but it has been a while since I have heard anything from the Ecto developer so I am thinking about just buying MarsEdit and calling it a day.
P.S. The MarsEdit developer contacted me through my personal blog not too long ago when I posted about these apps and he says that he is interested in adding some support for FTP into MarsEdit.
