Connect, Discover, and Inspire at the Adobe MAX Conference
Looking for a conference to polish your year off? If you are a regular user of Adobe products like Photoshop, Flash and Illustrator, the Adobe MAX event could be for you. But you have to empty your pockets first.
Adobe MAX is an event targeted at Adobe users that aims to connect them with other users, discover what can be done with the applications, and inspire others to create. The conference will being an opportunity to meet other users and grab some sneak peaks at what's coming out of Adobe next. There will be training on Adobe's products and solutions, and networking events. Speakers for the North America event include Grant Skinner, Mike Chambers and Erik Natzke.
MAX will be held in North America, Europe and in Japan, and cost a fortune. $1,295 US for general attendance, so make sure your company will spot you. Students, there is an educational discount, but its only $200 off. A one day pass can be purchased for $595, which is still rather pricey.

You get what you pay for though. I went to MAX 2 years ago and it was outstanding. It's huge conference with top notch presentations, events, free stuff and food.
When I went to the one in Anaheim, one of the evening parties was at Disney's California Adventure. MAX had private use of the park complete with open bars all along the boardwalks.

Honestly Rick, I enjoy attending FITC much better! Seriously. I have been attending FITC since it started and have been impressed with it every year.
Which reminds me that i just got an email about FITC Hollywood (Rich Media Entertainment)Oct 22-23. The early bird pricing is still on everyone! And its totally worth attending. Tons of great talent will be there. Toronto is the original venue though, and nothing will ever beat it.

$1300 for the privilege of talking to other users and seeing what's in the pipeline?!?!? You must be joking. Microsoft has events similar to this and they are FREE. I went to a MS event earlier this year, they had speakers, technical demonstrations, demos of new products, free food, free software (Vista & Office), you could talk to the speakers and product people and it was all completely free. I can't believe anyone could get $1300 of value from a show like that.
