Test nightly builds of Firefox 3 without installing
This is a neat trick. If you're one of those bleeding edge people who want to try out Firefox 3 while it's still undergoing major changes, but don't want the hassle involved in installing, uninstalling, and repeating daily, this script could be a major time saver. The nifty script downloads the nightly build and installs it as a portable configuration, allowing you to keep the use of your trusty mainline Firefox, and still play around with the nightly build like the cool kids.

If you really want to be like the cool kid, you use the command line argument to start with alternate profiles. Almost like the cool kids, not using the script (/w included portable firefox), but use Free The Fox , http://www.mai9.net/blog/prog/firefox/free-the-fox/ , then run as many firefoxes from a USB drive at the same time as you like (may want to disable disk cache then), like a few different builds of Firefox Musume, maybe portable k-meleon and a few copies of opera and maxthon on the side.

This is way cool. Thanks very much. This is *exactly* what I, as the Firefox-crazed user that I am, would have wished for had I thought of it.

i get a 403 Forbidden when I follow the "Read" link.
MartinAug 6th 2007 4:13PM
I get:
"You don't have permission to access /s/slythfox/ on this server.
Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."
when I click on the "this script" link, and I really wanted to try this.
Please fix the link.

A mirror of the script can be found here:
