Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon) alpha 3 available for download
Oh sweet Ubuntu with your rapid development cycle and sexy logo, will you ever slow down? The third alpha release of Ubuntu 7.10 (due out for real in October) is ready and available for download. The new version includes the super rap Compiz Fusion 3d desktop, which should make the Gutsy Gibbon rather attractive indeed. A whole slew of other improvements come along for the ride as well.
Be warned, it's alpha software. Still, it's some exciting news for the Ubuntu addicted.

Hmm.. will fusion work with ATI right out of the box? It's been difficult in past versions to get the cube effect with a radeon.

Now, if they could only get rid of that poopie colored brown.
Yeah, yeah, I know, you can change it, But did anyone ever say wow, look at that awesome theme, it comes in BROWN!
My apologies to those from Cleveland.

I think the brown actually sets them apart and makes them more unique. Just look at the brown Zune, you would think that it is the ugliest one but it is Microsoft best seller.

Brown is my favorite color :) and I like it;
But as Emceay says
"will fusion work with ATI right out of the box? "
I like Ubuntu; I like working wiht it in my desktop PC, but this is the only reason why I don't use it in my notebook.
