Computer Checkers just got more boring
Chess has been a classic computer science problem for generations, but now Checkers has managed to become totally invincible for the mere mortal as well. The New York Times reports on a Checkers simulator developed at the University of Calgary in Alberta which can no doubt leave you crying; And you won't be crying "King Me!". The online version of Chinook has been reduced in strength so that you have, as the site says, "A chance of drawing." Oh, how fair.
You can play against Chinook all you want, but you're not going to win. In the classic words of Cheech and Chong, "Geeze, I hope you're not busy for about a month."
