Resurrect your Apple IIe as a serial Linux terminal

Warning, serious geeks need only apply. Serial terminals were once quite common in Unix environments. Allowing access to a shell with only a keyboard and screen, they can still come in handy for an uber Linux geek, but unless you're willing and able to dig up an old Wyse or an ancient PC running minicom, your options are pretty slim.

Quaag7 shows us exactly how to dig that old Apple IIe out of the closet, and put it to good use as a Linux terminal. It's not for the faint of heart, and it won't get you girls, but if you're a diehard geek with a lot of time on your hands, this is an awesome weekend project to add to your already over-inflated ego.
