Plan a trip and a detour with Google Maps
If you thought the ability to avoid highways was crucial for an online mapping service, you're going to love this. Google's just added a new feature to Google Maps that lets you change your directions by clicking and dragging.
Here's how it works. Enter your starting point and destination. When the blue line pops up showing how to get from one place to another, just click the blue line and drag it to another road.
