Opera's
new Speed Dial feature seems to be all the rage lately, and now
even Firefox can do it. Since we're all having fun with this new way to utilize our bookmark bars, we thought it was only fair to point out for the alternative users in the crowd that
Apple's Safari browser has done Speed Dial for a few years now, possibly since its release in 2003. Using the Command key plus a number should give you the same behavior as these other two browsers, allowing the
nearly-5% of the rest of us to (kinda) play right along.

Is opera better than safari?

Not quite the same, though, is it? The Opera feature and Firefox add-on both show a live preview of each speed dial page, which I think is more valuable than a simple keyboard shortcut.

Yeah I accidentally ran across this the other day when using Safari for something and meaning to Command-2 to the second tab (a la Firefox behavior for tab navigation.) Now, almost makes me wish that Firefox acted like this instead.
