It truly is a shame that such atrocities can occur and the world just turns a blind eye. Hopefully there can be a positive resolution to this crisis and those held accountable will be punished.
It is truly unfortunate that Turkey has never been forced to own up to it's own genocide committed against the Armenians in 1915. This can create
precedent in the minds of those looking to commit genocide - after all, Hitler is known for saying, "Who remembers the Armenians".
Perhaps if the world powers had stepped in to save the Armenians and make an example of Turkey, Hitler may have never acted as he did - or any others for that matter.
