Importing bookmarks from Pocket Internet Explorer is even easier in the new 8.65 beta:
On first start up there appears a question whether Opera should "Import IE Favorites?" and you can manually repeat this later with Menu - Tools - Manage Bookmarks - Menu - Import IE Favorites

I strongly recommend the new Opera Mobile 8.65 beta for Windows Mobile as it seems to have only minor bugs and lots of long requested features. It's free to use until 1. Oct 2007 and there will be a free upgrade from 8.6.
