For anyone who's already been virtually attending TED conferences by hitting up the site, this is a significant downgrade in user-friendliness. Up until this recent site redesign, you could very easily download MP3 and MOV files of the TED talks. Once a month I'd check the site for new talks and have something interesting and unique to listen to on my commute or when traveling. Now the only way to get the content is via streaming media, which does not fit into my rock'n'roll lifestyle.
