120 things you don't know about Photoshop

This gem of a reference doc can be found deep within Scribd, the very Web 2.0ish online library. It's brimming with all manner of tips and tricks you can use to become a Photoshop workflow god. For instance, did you know you can reset all your preferences to their box defaults simply by holding down Ctrl+Alt+Shift immediately after launching Photoshop? How about when using the circular Marquee tool, holding the Alt key will get perfect circles drawn from the center out, rather than those tedious egg shapes that drag from the corner?

Have you ever considered that "hidden" functionality in Photoshop has about the same usefulness as "hidden" functionality in Word? You don't need it, so why is it there? And more importatnly, why did you pay for it?
My opinion that Photoshop is a sorely abused program that was never designed to do what people most often use it for has not wavered, nor has my belief that a lightweight, directed application that does graphic design better than Photoshop is right around the corner, ready to kill Adobe while it sleeps.

Owen, indeed you have spoken like someone who relies on the mouse to COPY and PASTE. Hunting for menuitems with one hand on your kiddie keyboard and the other hand glued on your ball mouse.
People who use and rely on Photoshop know what a godsend those hidden features and shortcuts are. It streamlines the workflow and makes the job a lot easier.
Without the distinguishing features, Photoshop would be just another Microsoft paint on steroids.
