Sync your Blackberry to your Mac with PocketMac
Having issues syncing up your Blackberry to your Mac applications? PocketMac wants to save you with their latest release. PocketMac currently has a portfolio of products that help sync up various devices with Macs, and now its time to hook Blackberries up. PocketMac for Blackberry has a 2-way syncing ability that syncs up Entourage, Mac OSX Mail, Address Book, Tasks and iCal. As for mobile browsing, PocketMac will transfer bookmarks in Safari over to the Blackberry browser. If you have a .Mac account, the PocketMac for Blackberry software will also sync your data online. PocketMac for Blackberry can be downloaded from the PocketMac website, and installed in just under three minutes.

I would really recommend using MissingSyncs preview software for the blackberry instead. I have used both and PocketMac really only works about 25% of the time, where as i have had no problem with MissingSync. No I am not affiliated with either party.

Worst piece of software, ever. I suspect a blind monkey wrote this horrible piece of crap.
I would rather gargle with diarrhea than try to use this software again.

I used PocketMac since 4.0 was released a few months ago and have been so unimpressed with both the product and the support. Little or no response from the company on specific tech issues, which luckily are being addressed by Blackberry customer-run forums. I've just downloaded the new beta from MissingSync and have really enjoyed the first few days - no problem syncing! A welcome change. Looking forward to the 1.0 version.

This software is pretty old news, and crappy. Why the write up about it so late in the game?
Luckily I also use a Mac in the office, so I just have Entourage sync with the Apple apps, which sync with my dot mac account, and all is good in the world...

Wow, this is seriously buggy software. I got it so I could use my new Blackberry Pearl with my MacBook Pro, but it never seemed to make a connection with the Pearl -- as if it wasn't supported, even though it was supposed to be.
I've now gone back to my Blackberry 8707g, because I prefer it anyway, but PocketMac 4.0 won't connect to it because it has a password on the device. There IS a spot to put your password into the PocketMac SyncManager (and a note underneath saying to quit and restart the sync manager to save the password) but when I quit and restart the sync manager, the password is gone. Soooo frustrating.
The worst thing is that PocketMac 3.13 worked reasonably well -- it wasn't perfect but it basically worked. PocketMac 4.0 DOESN'T, and it's annoying that all links to PocketMac 3.13 have disappeared -- it seems to be impossible to download now. :(
EDIT: actually, here's a link...
