Bug found in Microsoft's Daylight Saving update for Windows Mobile

Windows Mobile clockOkay, I lied last week when I said we were done telling you about Daylight Saving Time patches for your various devices.

Although Microsoft did go and issue an official patch to update Daylight Saving settings on Windows Mobile devices, it appears that installing the patch will result in all of your appointments being off for an hour between March 11th and April 1st. March 11th is when Daylight Saving Time begins this year, and April 1st is when it would have begun under the old formula.

A few Windows Mobile users have been kind enough to make their own software patches based on Microsoft's suggested registry changes. The difference is, these should actually work properly. If you haven't installed a Daylight Saving Time patch yet, I recommend you try one of these files.

Once you install the Microsoft update, uninstalling it probably won't fix the problem, as your appointments have already been modified. Keep in mind, this only affects three weeks of appointments, not the whole year.
