Windows 98 'support' ended quite some time ago but I still favor it instead of XP, use 98SE at home and XP at work so I can easily experience the diffrences.

* Runs faster than XP
* 2.4GHz P4 with 1GB RAM boots up in 20 seconds
* Most new '2000/XP only' software will work on 98
* No hassle reinstalls in 15 minutes (No calling Microsoft to activate)
* XP's System restore often does not repair problems or fails completely
