Google Toobar 3 Beta
Google officially announced the beta version of the Firefox Toolbar 3 Beta on Tuesday, jam packed with yummy new features. New additions in Toolbar 3 include accessing bookmarks from any computer, adding custom buttons, and sharing web pages using Blogger, Gmail and SMS. The ultimate feature that Google has integrated into the new Firefox Toolbar is the ability to view Documents and Spreadsheets right in the browser window. When you come across a .doc, .rtf, .odt, .sxw, .xls, .ods, aor .csv document in your web travels, you no longer have to download them to view them. You can simply setup the Toolbar 3 Beta to open them automatically in your browser window. Some handy little features here from Google; it's totally worth the download.[Thanks Abdul Aziz]

Unfortunately if you try and open a document over 500kB by clicking on the link with the tool bar installed, (and the option set,) Google documents says its too big to open

Any time I add a button to the toolbar it causes the navigation & toolbars to disappear. I need to start Firefox in Safe Mode and reset them. After that the new buttons and the toolbars happily co-exist.

I have tried several versions of Google's toolbar for Firefox 2.0. I have yet to find a version that doesn't cause my FF2.0 to lock up. What is happening is that the anti-phishing tools in this toolbar are causing these lookups to occur.
I and others have posted several reports of this problem on Google's Groups forum and seem to be ignored. I have also posted reports on Mozilla's forums as well.
I wasn't the one who determined it was the anti-phishing tools, so I can't be certain. I just know I can't use it. This is on OS X by the way. I suspect that Windows is fine with this.

I think That's really worth to download.
I believe custom dropdown menu for search behaviors would save the toolbar space and gives easy access...
I've bloged this in my page:

Mac OS Firefox users beware! There are several reports of Firefox locking up with Google Toolbar installed. I loved google toolbar, but was experiencing this problem intermitently (about every 2 or 3 uses). Sure enough, after removing Google Toolbar, no more lockups. The problem is persistent throughout versions 2 and 3.

This has been mentioned a couple of times before, but I want to stress the point: Firefox 2 and Google Toolbar (even the new one) do NOT play well on a Mac. The Toolbar will cause FF2 to lock frequently at exactly the WORST times.
