Readers SOUND OFF: Your Favorite Holiday Screensaver
All the innovations on the web and the advances in technology, and we still can't come up with non-crappy screensavers easily. Most sites you visit are filled with less-than-par graphics and dumb trial/spam/ad/crapware. This is where you come in. For those who don't know where to go, or what screensavers are decent, with no crapware installation or computer hijacking software tagging along, tell us all what your favorite holiday screensaver is and where you can go to get it. Give us some features, the install/uninstall process, and what your over-all feeling of the saver is. Why? Mostly because inquiring minds want to know, and duh, our readers are the experts on such matters. You can put up to 3 links in the comments if you feel so inclined. Let it snow (on your monitor)! What is your favorite screensaver or site to get screensavers for the holidays?

Supports non-profit environmental groups, the screen savers are top notch, no icky additions to the software.
Well known artists and photographers have contributed work.
Samplers are free for download, they have a nice holiday sampler.
Supports Windows and Mac.

Personally I find the XP default screensaver festive. I figure the screensaver is something I should never see while at my computer and its not worth the viruses and spyware to make everyone snooping on my computer happy. But if you must change yours...take a look at this.

It tells you how to change the default XP logon screensaver.

Microsoft has a Holiday Snowflakes screen savers that is save to install. It's not really cutting edge or anything fancy but it does the job. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/desktop/screensavers.mspx

Aquarius could be considered a festive screensaver - if you added links to festive Web sites, movies or images.
It displays movies (QuickTime, Windows Media files), Web pages and Flickr(tm) images in 3D on a variety of moving objects.
No spyware / adware / crapware of any kind..

Real geeks have no use for Screensavers, they're not off their computers long enough for one to set in!
