GooSync - Sync mobile devices with Google Calendar
Google Calendar kicks some serious butt. Unfortunately, being a web application, it doesn't natively synchronize with mobile devices like Pocket PCs, Palm devices, or cell phones. If you want to do that, you'll need a 3rd-party application, like GooSync. GooSync is a little application that actually lives on your mobile device, and can synchronize to Google Calendar "over the air". This means that in the case of phones, it will connect to the internet and perform a synchronization, while Pocket PCs and Palm devices can use either a WiFi or phone data connection (if available), or the pass-through internet connection provided by ActiveSync or HotSync, respectively. This concept is wonderful, and by many accounts works flawlessly. Unfortunately, after importing my massive Outlook calendar into Google Calendar, it turns out my Google Calendar account is somewhat of a challenge for synchronization tools. GooSync fails about 80% through the synchronization, but I'm not willing to pin that problem on them. I've also tried other applications that claim to be able to synchronize Google Calendar to tools like Outlook, and they fail as well.
Let us know in the comments if you've tried GooSync, and what your results are.

Just a heads up for anyone else who's getting frustrated because goosync.com won't load:
"We will be taking the GooSync service offline on Thursday 30th November from 11:00 to 12:00 GMT for scheduled maintenance."
This includes website updates.

I tried goosync abotu a month ago. At that point, it didn't work with recurring appointments. Worthless to me without them.
I settled for another piece of software:
Snoopsoft Webcalendar: http://www.snoopsoft.com/webcal/default.asp
It's not perfect, but it mostly works.

Installed Goosync on my Motorola Q today and it doesn't load repeating appointments from my Google Calendar to my device. :( Nice concept, but buggy.

Goosync is working perfectly for my Nokia 7610, even over here in New Zealand.
Loves it.

I've been using GooSync for about a week on my Treo650.
The only complaint I have with it is that it does not sync multiple calendars. I think a solution for this is in the works though.

You could also use AirSet (http://www.airset.com) and it's desktop sync application (cost: free). Just subscribe an AirSet calendar to your Google webcal feed. AirSet Desktop Sync supports Outlook, Pocket PC, Palm Desktop, and Palm devices. They also have a mobile client that runs on many cell phones (if your phone can run a game it can probably run airset).

Okay since I can only post 3 links per post- here's part 1:
I've tried a number of products & services that attempt to sync google calendar to a mobile device (I have the MotoQ).
So far, no luck with any of them. But the ones I've tried are (In no particular order) :
1. GooSync (mentioned here above)
2. CompanionLink - (not really that great) http://www.companionlink.com/products/companionlinkforgoogle.html
3. ScheduleWorld - (seems to work, not 100% of the time, but it is getting better weekly) http://www.scheduleworld.com/tg/cal/day.jsp and (confusing) instructions are here: http://engtech.wordpress.com/2006/08/11/the-holy-grail-of-synchronization-how-to-synchronize-microsoft-outlook-multiple-locations-google-calendar-gmail-ipod-and-mobile-phone-with-funambol-scheduleworld/

And now for part 2
4. RemoteCalendars - (again, this one works well, but it is 100% manual, and I have been unable to upload from my phone > outlook > google cal) http://remotecalendars.sourceforge.net/ and the HowTo: http://www.jakeludington.com/ask_jake/20060818_how_to_sync_google_calendar_with_outlook_and_smartphones_automatically.html
And the latest one I tried that seems to almost work (but yet still no repeating events) called
5. CalendarShare: http://www.saraiya.com/documents/23.html
(I'll have to report back on that AirSet once I've tried that (another) method)
Hope that helps (someone)

I am sorry to say it wont work. At the moment my N80 has been backed up pretty well at zyb.com and I wanted more by getting my G calendar on mobile. There is this gcalsync and then goosync and none works as given. Now zyb has started gcal import (no auto update yet) which seems to work all right. Well when do google plan to come up with a sync thing??

I was going to try it today, based on a recommendation from a reader of my blog. But I have to admit, I was completely turned off by the registration page. They want my physical address, date of birth, and gender? I don't think so. In addition, I'm very uncomfortable with the concept of giving my gmail address and password (!) on the main registration page - that should be something that you tweak in the options. No go for me. Not even going to try it out.

I wanted to sync Google Calendar events with my Mobile 5.0 device wirelessly, without Outlook, without ActiveSync and without putting my Google Account information into a third-party website. When I couldn't find what I wanted, I wrote my own, GMobileSync.

GooSync Update:
Google Authentication Proxy will be added this week.
No need to add your Google credentials at www.goosync.com simply authorize goosync from with Google Calendar.
Cheers

I just installed the trial for SnoopSoft WebCalendar, and it synced my Google Calendar to my Windows Mobile 5 just fine, except it appears to only be a 1-way sync. Is that correct, or am I missing something.
If it IS a 2-way sync, I'll surely buy it, as this is the BEST solution I've seem thus far!

If your still looking..a solution to sync Google Calendar to your Windows Mobile 5 .... OggSync has a FREEWARE version that will OTA 2 way Sync direct to Google and if you have multiple calendars like Outlook for work, several personal/public Google calendars - the PRO verision can handle that also,
http://www.oggsync.com
Give it a try and let us know what you think!
