Three turkey games for turkey day - Today's Time Waster

Turkey PanicGiven the American proclivity for kitsch, there are surprisingly few free holiday-themed games out there. But, vigilant as ever, I've tracked down a few for when you want to get away from your tryptophan-soaked relatives for a bit this Thanksgiving. None of them are exactly award, winning, but they're fun in their own right if you're keen on some turkey-themed wackiness.

In Turkey to Go you use the mouse guide a naked turkey (don't worry, SFW) around a table gathering feathers that descend from the top of the screen. Your goal is to collect the required number of feathers before your time runs out. Along with feathers, power-up corn also appears, which can speed you up, slow things down, or have other effects. There are hazards, however--forks! That's right, forks ascend from the bottom of the screen and will skewer you if you get too close.

Turkey Panic (pictured) is a fast-paced game in which you play a turkey wrangler or something, and your goal is to catch as many turkeys as you can in the two minute allotted. You have to grab the turkeys with your mouse as they run across the screen and drag them to the your truck. For each turkey you get $5, and using your cash you can buy seeds, sleeping pills, or banana peels to make the turkeys easier to catch.

And finally, the obligatory hunting game: In Turkey Shoot, large purple turkeys advance upon you endlessly and you must rend them asunder with your cartoon shotgun. If you're used to pumping quarters into the Deer Hunter machine at your local Wal-Mart, this game is probably a bit below your skill level, but it does have a gratifying "Headshot!" sound ripped straight from Unreal Tournament.

Apart from turkeys, what do these three games have in common: Obnoxious "gobble" sounds. Like I said, these games aren't much to write home about, but they might be enough to ward off that Thanksgiving food coma. For a few minutes.
