Calendar Magic (& other stuff)
Date and time can be amongst the most frustrating calculations to perform. Although we represent dates and times using a base-10 numbering system, the actual calculations rely on an intricate understanding of how our world's calendars work, and therefore how to convert amongst them. Windows Fanatics pointed this week to a little freeware application called Calendar Magic. Calendar Magic has more date-related features in it than you can shake a stick at. Although the user interface looks like it could use an upgrade, it doesn't adversely impact the usability of the product - in fact the simple button menu is probably a real strength of the program.
If you've ever wanted to be able to do some obscure date calculation, chances are Calendar Magic can handle it.
