Not happy: Installed FF 2.0 and it did not find any of my bookmarks; not only that, but the text in the address bar
is all over the place.
Going back to 1.5!!

Update: I dont like to be defeated so i had another go and after a lot of fannying about i found that FF 2.0 did not like my ICQ 5.1 install.
I tried this three times with the same result each time.
Install FF 2.0 first and then install ICQ 5.1-FINE
Install ICQ 5.1 first and then install FF 2.0-PROBLEMS.
I dont know if this is a general problem or one perculiar to my setup but i tried it on the other two computers on the network with the same result.
And after all that i find FF 2.0 is slower than 1.5 and there is a poor selection of themes and add-ons.
I'm begining to wonder why i bothered.

@Steve: if you DO run into a problem with your bookmarks, Lifehacker's Adam Pash addressed the issue of disappearing bookmarks today.
http://www.lifehacker.com/software/firefox/restore-missing-bookmarks-to-firefox-20-210393.php
Since the installation goes into the Program Files folder, it doesn't touch your bookmarks, which reside in your Application Data folder, so if you backup your profile, you should be fine.

Monoto: Thanks for the info and link: everything seems to be running ok at the moment so hopefully i've sussed it.

There is a huge issue with Firefox 2 master password feature.
If you setup a master password to protect all your passwords, Firefox 1.5 used to ask it once at start of firefox and if you don't fill it, once everytime you visit a site for which it holds the password information. If you don't fill the master password at that time too, it doesn't bother you and you can fill whatever login and password yourself. That was Firefox 1.5
In Firefox 2, if you open a site for which firefox holds the login info, it throws the popup asking master password as soon as you type a letter in the login box. You simply can't login to the site if you don't know the master password of firefox as it keeps on popping up. This makes my firefox completely unusable for my friends who want to occasionally check their mail on my machine.

Firefox 2 is buggy. My xp machine has not operated properly since i installed Firefox 2. Firefox 1.5 worked better on my pc and I wish I had not installed 2.
Wait to they put out patches for the bugs before you install.
