Look out for Firefox 2.0 launching tomorrow

firefox 2.0 launch
Hot on the heels of Microsoft releasing Internet Explorer 7 last week, Mozilla is releasing Firefox 2.0. The final version of the browser will be launched on Tuesday. The new Firefox 2.0 is said to be basically the same as the Release Candidate 3 (RC3) version which is available as of Monday on Mozilla's website.

Some of Firefox 2.0's features include:
  • Theme and user interface update, including prettier glowing buttons.
  • Phishing Protection
  • Search term suggestions
  • Search engine manager
  • Firefox will open all pages in new tabs instead of new windows
  • Session Restore to resume browsing
  • Web feed subscriptions
  • Spell checking
To help spread the Firefox love, Firefox fans can get badges, buttons, and email signatures at Spread Firefox, getting credit each time someone clicks on links from your buttons. Don't forget about the Firefox party as well! There are 367 official parties happening worldwide, with over 3229 registered party goers. If you want to host your own Firefox party, sign up at www.Firefoxparty.com. And yes, you can also get the official t-shirt there.

Who is getting ready their mouse finger ready to click on the official Firefox 2.0 download link tomorrow? And will this new release beat out IE7?

UPDATE: As Clay pointed out in the comments, he has come across a secret location where version 2.0 install files are hiding, waiting to be unleashed tomorrow!
