AOL has opened its video search engine to developers. Gentlemen (and ladies), get out your hacking skills! The
AOL video developer center is chock full of resources for you to hack it up right with AOL's video services. I counted two APIs including one called
REST, and one for
AJAX, the Application Gallery (to inspire the mash-up lying dormant in your mind), and a
demo application (pictured above), and the link to
request a director's account. If video and search are your thing, you can do a lot with the tools AOL has provided, so go for it and have a good time, if you want to.
