making your TiVo serve up video files from any networked computer. The keystone of the tutorial is
TivoServer, open source software that masquerades as a TiVo and even re-encodes your videos to a TiVo-friendly format on the fly. TivoServer is made for Linux, but will also run on Mac OS X or Windows under Cygwin.
