Google has hired Dennis Woodside to be the new Managing Director of operations for the UK and Ireland. This role replaces Kate Burns, who was Google's first employee outside of the US.
Google moving towards TV advertising
Looks like Google could be aiming at being the "world's largest advertising network."

Mountain View city council is expected to approve the deal for Google to build the new 310,000 sq ft offices and research facilities on 9.2 acres.
