Ex-Microsoftie Robert Scoble points us to this list of 150 "cool Microsoft downloads". While some people might take issue with a few (okay, more than a few) of the selections on this list, it's still a pretty impressive list. Consider that all of this software is generated from somewhere within the bowels of that huge company, often with very little fanfare or visibility. The Powertoys from Microsoft are a very nice treat to any Windows user and I don't understand why the TweakUI, Alt-Tab Replacement, Power Calculator and Virtual Desktop Manager weren't added to the OS in the first place. Anyway, I'm glad they are freely available from Microsoft.
